Coca-cola

Celebrating 100 years of Coca-Cola in Norway.

As part of Idégryta, we developed a campaign concept to celebrate Coca-Cola’s 100th anniversary in Norway in 2026. The challenge was to honour the brand’s history while creating something modern, engaging and locally relevant. We submitted the concept to the Ocean Outdoor Student Competition 2025.

Our concept, “Åpne feiringen” (Open the Celebration), turned the anniversary into an interactive experience designed to bring people together and make the celebration visible across Norway.

The challenge was to create a campaign that celebrated 100 years of Coca-Cola in Norway, while bringing the brand’s history into the present. The campaign focused on creating memorable physical experiences built around community, nostalgia and shared moments.

The brief

At the heart of the concept was a giant interactive Coca-Cola can, starting in central Oslo before travelling to other cities across Norway. The concept combined nostalgia from Coca-Cola’s 100-year advertising history with a fresh, interactive twist.

Visitors could pull the giant ring pull and receive a limited-edition Coke featuring “Happy Birthday” in different Norwegian dialects and expressions, celebrating the diversity of Norway and strengthening the sense of national pride around Coca-Cola’s 100-year anniversary in the country.

The idea

The installation was designed to travel across Norway, supported by outdoor advertising and a screen showcasing iconic Coca-Cola moments from the past 100 years. The different dialect cans added a local touch in each city, encouraging people to collect, compare and share them, while celebrating Coca-Cola’s connection to Norway.
